SELECT CAREFULLY AS ALL SALES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL

All sales are considered final. Because great care is taken to provide accurate measurements on each item, returns due to poor fit are not accepted. Please, please check the measurements against something you already own that fits you well. If you need additional measurements, don’t hesitate to ask. We are happy to provide additional measurements a or send you videos of anything in stock. We truly want you to be happy with your purchase!

To ensure your item is well suited for you, please read the vintage sizing information below & double-check and compare the listing size and your own size to get the best fit. If you are unsure and have a question about the size or appearance of an item, contact us and we will gladly send you more pictures or take additional measurements. All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat. It is advisable to find a similar garment in your wardrobe and measure it lying flat for comparison.

Returns are reviewed on a case by case basis, and only accepted if there was a significant error in the listing.

* Please note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
* A 5% restocking fee will be deducted on all returns and order cancellations. We hate doing this but Shopify keeps all fees even if an item is cancelled or refunded. We are a small business and it’s difficult to absorb that fee just because you changed your mind.
* A restocking fee will also be assessed on orders that are refused by the customer at the time of delivery or returned due to an "un-deliverable" address. This is super rare and mainly for overseas customers. We aren’t out to take your money, it’s a cost of doing business.
SHIPPING
We ship within 72 hours of payment receipt, usually the next day (except weekends and holidays). We ship primarily USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation included.

We do ship internationally using USPS. Buyer is responsible for all VAT, import fees, and taxes imposed by your country. Custom authorities require that I state the value of your order and contents directly on your package. Please be aware of this policy if buying a gift.

By placing an order with Devil's Details Boutique, you (the buyer) are responsible for all shipping fees, all applicable customs and import fees, and return shipping to Devil's Details Boutique in the case of an exchange. This also applies to any deliveries refused or uncollected by you at time of delivery.
Insurance and/or expedited shipping are available upon request; please leave us a note in the special instructions section when placing your order. Devil's Details Boutique is not responsible for packages lost in the mail.

SIZING INFORMATION
Vintage clothing fits differently than modern clothing, which is cut loosely to fit a wide variety of body shapes. Vintage clothing is cut much closer to the body than you may be used to and often doesn’t have any stretch. For this reason, it is important that you allow enough wearing ease to move comfortably while wearing your vintage garment.

Vintage garments were often tailored to fit an individual woman and evidence of seams and darts being taken in or out is not uncommon. For this reason, it is often possible to have a vintage garment altered to fit you if your measurements are off by just a bit. Message us if you want to know if a garment can be altered and we will send you the seam allowance and a photo of the interior.

MEASURING YOURSELF
Use a dressmaker’s tape measure, which you can get at your local fabric store. Measure yourself over the undergarments you plan to wear & not over your clothing.

BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
UNDERBUST: measure around the fullest part of your ribcage, about midway between your bust and waist.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your waist where it naturally curves in.
HIP: measure around the fullest part of your hips. This is usually about 8"-9" below your waist.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: Measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, following the curve of your bust.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, to the point you want the garment to end at the hem.

GARMENT CONDITION GUIDE
We use fashion-era.com as a guide to state the condition of all items and all items sold that do not meet good condition are sold as cutter or for craft purposes and will be stated in the description.

Mint Vintage Condition means mint. It means rare, flawless and as perfect and pristine as it was originally, to the point that it may never have been even worn. Garment tags may still be attached

Near Mint Vintage Condition shows the lightest of wear and a garment or dress that is in complete condition in all aspects. Wedding suits and special occasion ball, red carpet and cocktail gowns for example are often near mint.

Excellent Vintage Condition means totally sound in condition and appearance, but any wear is a result of having been worn now and then, but the item has been well looked after and stored to still keep good looks. The construction of the garment is sound with no buttons missing or unavailable for matching.

Very Good Vintage Condition means wearable with some flaws. Flaws such as stains or minor structural flaws have made an appearance. However, overall the garment has redeeming factors such as scarcity or a rare print making it desirable. The position of the soiling or staining is also important. Since the marking may be permanent this should be reflected in the selling price.

Good Vintage Condition means wearable, but the dress is no longer in pristine condition and if there are repairs to be made it could never achieve excellent condition. Remember vintage garments have been around a long time, so will have deteriorated with the years and with storage conditions. These clothes have been worn, but the fact they still exist means they were favorite items or stylish treasured garments in their day.

Additional Policies and FAQs
Vintage clothing has had a prior life and, like most of us, is neither perfect nor pristine. Small flaws, creases, scuffs, fading, picks, moth nibbles, and other evidence of wear are to be expected. That history is what gives the character to vintage items! Even unworn items have been stored “somewhere” for at least the past 20 years and may have signs of that.

For cleaning, we primarily use tide detergent for normal cleaning. For heavier cleaning, we do use professional cleaning chemicals. Items that are not able to be hand washed do get professionally dry cleaned. You should still plan on re-washing an item if you have any sensitivity to detergents and cleaning fluids. In the rare instance an item has not been cleaned (due to age or material), we will post this in the listing. If you have questions about care of your purchase, please contact us and we will happily explain washing procedures.

Most vintage clothing was worn during a time when smoking cigarettes, cigars, or pipes, was socially acceptable. Vintage deodorant often didn't eliminate perspiration odor, it simply masked it with a stronger, more pleasant smell. Vintage fashionable men and women often didn't feel fully dressed without their aftershave, cologne, or perfume. I have no way of knowing the history of the previous owners, how they lived, whether they smoked, had pets, or didn't bathe often. Fortunately, modern cleaning may remove any traces, but, again, it may take more than one cleaning. We do our best to remove odors through cleaning - often more than one wash. Most odors are removed. Rarely traces still linger in clothing and we do not "febreeze" to cover scents. We also do not use overly perfumed cleaning products to cover any scents. We will not list any item that we would not personally wear due to an offensive odor.
