This gorgeous Damascene bracelet is just the thing to add a hint of grown-up-Gothic flare to your wardrobe. Damascene jewelry is made by a technique where black enamel is floated around metal that has been decorated with designs, often in tones of silver and gold. The name comes from the Damascus where the jewelry was first made starting in the 14th century. We think these pieces remain timeless, and so easy to style!
Stamped ia. Measures approximately 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches
"Bracelets with an "ia" stamp on them are equivalent to America's "kt" or carat stamp. It is a stamp that is used in foreign countries mostly Middle Eastern. For instance in America when the stamp says 18kt on a piece of gold, it is telling you that it is about 75% gold alloy with a 25% mix of other metals. Unfortunately, the "ia" is a bit ambiguous as the standard from one country differs from that of another. For appraisal purposes, many jewelers will list the value at 14kt unless they have access to the 'acid test". -Sourced from Etsy
