1960s green fascinator with feathers and mesh. Mesh has amazing details with Rhinestones surrounded by circles of Pom poms. There are also assorted colored beads on the feather stems! Two adorable velvet bows also sit in on the top of the head. In excellent condition.

Jack McConnell was from Mooresville Tennessee. At one time he was referred to as the “King of Millinery”. He designed hats for movie stars such as Joan Crawford and Lana Turner. It is said that a label with a red feather indicates the hat received the personal attention of Mr. McConnell. The Kathy Jeanne Hat Company of Fairfield New Jersey acquired the label in 2005. Kathy Jeanne has been in business for 25 years making hats under the labels of Kathy Jeanne and Jeanne Marie which they describe as “mainstream hats.” Their other labels Dorel, Aldo, Mr. John, Sylvia, and Jack McConnell they describe as “upscale.”
